It's back. Thanks for your patience as we are making this transition in TechTalk history. Here's our first show that's exclusive to website - the first podcast using Skype. As with any first show using a new setup, there are some glitches. Occasionally you'll hear our internet connection hiccup, and Chase wasn't able to make it for this show.
In this show, we revisit online safety for teens and chatting online. It's a must-listen for parents. Some websites and programs mentioned include the ICRA Kid's Page and Family Contract, Microsoft's Online Slang (1337 Speak) Primer, and programs to monitor and restrict online activity (with free trials on our download page).
Personally, a huge thanks to teen Tyler Johnson from the Decatur area, for helping Tollie and Sam do a test run, that unfortunately didn't make it to air because of more Skype issues that we had to work out later.
Again, thanks for listening and stay tuned for more, as we expand back into taking your phone calls. |
